Full Time Stocking Specialist

Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY

The Stocking Specialist will be responsible for keeping the stockroom neat and well organized and sales floor well stocked at all times. 

POSITION SUMMARY

• Ensure that new merchandise is stocked within 24 hours of receipt.
• Organize stock into the correct locations ensuring all stock is safely stored and easily accessible.
• Maintain an accurate knowledge of stock and locations.
• Ensure all merchandise in stockroom is “floor ready” (tagged, priced, folder, etc.)
• Supply stock to the sales floor on a daily basis, advising the manager of any items which are not available.
• Assist with pricing/folding/hanging of merchandise as it is received or stocked.
• Handle merchandise with the utmost care.
• Upon receipt of reordered items, restock the sales floor before placing in stockroom.
• Keep inventory moving at all times.
• Prioritize stocking by rate of sales.
• Inform buyers of low inventory levels.
• Ensure all aisles and through routes are kept clear and free of stock at all times.
• All areas should be cleaned on a regular basis and all bins emptied as required.
• Ensure at the end of the working day that the stockroom is ready for the following day’s business activity.
• Actively be involved in improving storage and stock control systems and suggesting improvements in the overall layout and organization of the stockroom.
• Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum 18 years of age
• Working knowledge of computer software helpful
• Must be very organized
• Must pay attention to detail
• Must be able to work with minimal supervision
• Must be able to communicate well with others

HOURS

• Full time Position
• Must be available to work:

8:00a.m. to 8:00p.m. Monday-Saturday

Must be available to work all Clemson home football game days
