We are seeking meticulous and efficient Picker/Packers to join our logistics team in Indianapolis, Indiana. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately selecting items from our warehouse inventory and carefully preparing them for shipment. Your attention to detail and commitment to quality will be essential in ensuring customer satisfaction. You will work in a fast-paced environment, utilizing scanning technology and following established procedures to fulfill orders correctly and on time. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from designated warehouse locations based on order requirements.
- Verify picked items against order details to ensure accuracy.
- Inspect items for any defects or damage before packing.
- Efficiently pack orders using appropriate materials to ensure safe transit.
- Apply shipping labels and prepare packages for dispatch.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work station and surrounding area.
- Adhere to all company safety regulations and utilize required PPE.
- Assist with inventory tasks, such as cycle counting and replenishment.
- Meet or exceed daily picking and packing performance targets.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure smooth workflow and order fulfillment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in picking, packing, or warehouse roles is advantageous.
- Ability to read and understand order tickets and shipping instructions.
- Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the shift.
- Capability to perform lifting of up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Understanding of basic warehouse safety procedures and the importance of PPE.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Basic computer literacy for operating scanning devices.
