Seeking experienced and certified Forklift Operators to join our state-of-the-art logistics facility in Houston, Texas. As a Forklift Operator, you will play a critical role in the safe and efficient movement of materials throughout our warehouse. This position requires precision, responsibility, and a strong commitment to safety protocols. You will operate various types of forklifts to move, stack, load, and unload products, ensuring inventory accuracy and operational flow. Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, reach trucks) to move materials within the warehouse.
- Load and unload trucks, ensuring proper securing of loads.
- Transport products to and from storage areas, production lines, or shipping docks.
- Perform daily inspections of forklifts and report any maintenance issues immediately.
- Maintain accurate inventory records through proper material handling and system updates.
- Adhere strictly to all safety regulations and company policies, including the use of PPE.
- Follow traffic rules and safety procedures within the warehouse to prevent accidents.
- Assist with inventory management tasks, such as cycle counting and stock put-away.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Support other warehouse operations as needed, demonstrating flexibility.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid forklift operator certification and proven experience.
- At least 1-2 years of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or logistics environment.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations and inventory control.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Strong understanding of forklift safety procedures and hazard recognition.
- Familiarity with various types of forklifts.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.
- Commitment to using PPE at all times.
