We are hiring a diligent Material Handler to join our busy warehouse in Minneapolis, Minnesota. This role is fundamental to our logistics operations, involving the movement and organization of materials throughout the facility. As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for ensuring that goods are moved efficiently and safely from receiving to storage, and from storage to shipping. Responsibilities:
- Receive, identify, and stage materials within the warehouse.
- Use material handling equipment, such as pallet jacks, hand trucks, and forklifts (certification required), to move goods.
- Load and unload trucks efficiently and safely.
- Organize and store materials in designated warehouse locations, ensuring proper stock rotation.
- Assist with inventory counts and verify stock levels.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, adhering to all Safety standards.
- Properly utilize Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Support shipping and receiving operations by moving items as directed.
- Collaborate with team members to optimize workflow and meet logistics objectives.
- Perform other warehouse duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a warehouse setting is preferred.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including frequent Lifting of items up to 60 pounds.
- Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and stoop for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in material handling.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of warehouse Safety procedures and best practices.
- Willingness to operate various types of material handling equipment.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Understanding of general logistics principles is advantageous.
