Are you a natural leader with a passion for operations and efficiency? We are seeking a proactive Warehouse Supervisor to oversee our bustling facility in Tampa, Florida. This leadership role is essential for managing daily warehouse activities, ensuring the safety and productivity of our team, and optimizing the flow of goods. You will be responsible for coordinating shifts, managing staff, enforcing Safety policies, and driving continuous improvement in our logistics operations. The ideal candidate possesses strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of warehouse management, and a commitment to excellence.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate daily warehouse activities, including receiving, storage, order picking, packing, and shipping.
- Manage, train, and mentor warehouse staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Enforce all company policies and Safety regulations, ensuring compliance with OSHA standards and proper use of PPE.
- Optimize warehouse layout and workflow for maximum efficiency and space utilization.
- Monitor inventory levels and implement effective inventory control procedures.
- Ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.
- Conduct regular Safety inspections and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Oversee material handling processes, including appropriate Lifting techniques and equipment operation.
- Manage carrier relationships and negotiate shipping rates where applicable.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the warehouse and logistics operations.
- Report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to productivity, accuracy, and Safety.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is a plus.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in warehouse operations, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory role.
- Proven leadership and team management skills.
- In-depth knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control.
- Strong understanding of logistics and supply chain best practices.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Commitment to Safety and proficiency in implementing safety programs.
- Ability to manage and direct tasks involving significant Lifting and material handling.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and WMS software.
