About
We are seeking a diligent Receiving Clerk to join our logistics team in Columbus, Ohio. This role is central to our operations, responsible for the accurate and efficient processing of all incoming goods. You will be the first point of contact for deliveries, ensuring that all items are received, inspected, documented, and stored correctly. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and understands the importance of accuracy in managing inventory and supply chain logistics.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect all incoming shipments for damage and discrepancies.
- Verify received goods against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Accurately record received items into the inventory management system.
- Identify and report any shortages, overages, or damaged goods.
- Stage received goods for internal distribution or put-away.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe receiving area.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including proper lifting and the use of required PPE.
- Collaborate with shipping and inventory control teams to ensure seamless operations.
- Operate equipment such as pallet jacks and hand trucks as needed.
- Assist with inventory cycle counts and audits.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Previous experience in a receiving, warehouse, or logistics role preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to perform basic math calculations and data entry.
- Proficiency in using handheld scanners and inventory management software is a plus.
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs.
- Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Understanding of warehouse safety practices and the importance of PPE.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
