Join our team as a Picker/Packer in Virginia Beach, Virginia, and contribute to the smooth functioning of our distribution center. This role is vital for ensuring that our customers receive their orders accurately and in excellent condition. As a Picker/Packer, you will be responsible for accurately locating and retrieving items from inventory based on order specifications. Precision is key as you'll verify product details and quantities before moving to the packing stage. Following the picking process, you will expertly pack items into appropriate shipping containers, ensuring they are secure and protected during transit. Your attention to detail will be crucial in minimizing errors and enhancing customer satisfaction. You will work within a fast-paced logistics environment, where efficiency and accuracy are paramount. We are dedicated to providing a safe workplace for all our employees. This includes providing necessary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and thorough training on all safety procedures and best practices. The role requires physical stamina, including standing, walking, bending, and the ability to lift items up to 40 pounds frequently. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse shelves according to order lists or RF scanner data.
- Verify picked items and quantities against order requirements.
- Pack items securely and efficiently into shipping boxes or mailers.
- Apply shipping labels and prepare orders for dispatch.
- Maintain an organized and clean workstation.
- Adhere to all warehouse safety protocols and use required PPE.
- Meet established productivity and quality standards.
- Assist with inventory counts as needed.
- Operate basic warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to stand, walk, and move for extended periods.
- Capable of lifting up to 40 pounds.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Understanding of logistics and warehouse operations is an advantage.
- Willingness to follow safety guidelines and use PPE.
