Job Summary:
We are seeking a diligent Distribution Center Associate to join our team in Des Moines, Iowa. In this role, you will be a critical component of our logistics network, contributing to the efficient processing and movement of goods. You'll perform a variety of tasks, including order picking, packing, shipping, and receiving, all while maintaining a strong focus on safety and accuracy. This position requires energy, attention to detail, and a commitment to teamwork in a dynamic warehouse environment.
Responsibilities:
  • Accurately pick items from warehouse inventory according to order specifications using scanning devices or pick lists.
  • Pack products securely and efficiently for shipment, ensuring they are protected during transit.
  • Process outgoing shipments, ensuring correct labeling and documentation.
  • Receive incoming inventory, verify quantities against purchase orders, and inspect for damage.
  • Stock received inventory in designated warehouse locations, maintaining organization.
  • Operate material handling equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts (if certified and trained).
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, adhering to all safety protocols.
  • Conduct inventory checks and assist with cycle counts as required.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures, with a strong emphasis on safety and the use of PPE.
  • Collaborate with team members to meet daily productivity and quality targets.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Previous experience in a warehouse, distribution center, or similar logistics role is a plus.
  • Ability to lift and move products weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods.
  • Good understanding of warehouse operations and safety procedures.
  • Team player with effective communication skills.
  • Must be reliable and punctual.
  • Willingness to follow instructions and adhere to safety guidelines, including the use of PPE.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing demands.
