We are hiring Picker/Packers for our busy distribution center in Seattle, Washington. In this critical role, you will be the backbone of our order fulfillment process, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in getting products to our customers. Your responsibilities will include accurately locating and picking items from inventory using handheld scanners, carefully packing these items into appropriate shipping containers, and preparing them for dispatch. This position demands meticulous attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to safety. You will be required to wear all necessary PPE to ensure your well-being in the warehouse environment. The role involves physical activity, including lifting and standing for extended periods. Responsibilities:
- Pick customer orders accurately and efficiently using RF scanners.
- Inspect picked items for damage or discrepancies.
- Pack orders using appropriate materials to ensure product safety during transit.
- Apply shipping labels and prepare packages for loading onto delivery trucks.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Follow all established warehouse safety guidelines and utilize required PPE.
- Conduct inventory checks and assist with stock rotation as needed.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet daily goals.
- Identify and report any issues with inventory, equipment, or processes.
- Support overall logistics and fulfillment operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Previous experience in a warehouse, picking, or packing role is advantageous.
- Ability to work with scanning equipment and computer systems.
- Capacity to perform repetitive tasks and stand for extended periods.
- Capable of lifting up to 45 pounds.
- Familiarity with logistics and warehouse safety protocols, including PPE usage.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
