We are looking for an experienced Material Handler to join our bustling warehouse in Miami, Florida. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for the movement of materials throughout the warehouse, ensuring efficient flow and timely processing. Your expertise in handling various types of materials and operating warehouse equipment will be key to our success. This position plays a vital part in our overall logistics chain, supporting both inbound and outbound operations.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and proficiently.
- Load and unload trucks efficiently, ensuring accuracy of inventory.
- Move, sort, and stage materials to designated areas within the warehouse.
- Inspect equipment before use and report any maintenance needs.
- Maintain inventory accuracy through proper tracking and reporting.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures to ensure a secure working environment.
- Regularly perform lifting of materials weighing up to 75 pounds.
- Wear all mandatory Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), such as safety glasses, gloves, and hard hats where applicable.
- Understand and apply principles of effective logistics and supply chain management.
- Actively participate in promoting a strong safety culture and follow all established safety protocols.
- Assist in maintaining a clean and organized warehouse facility.
- Support other warehouse personnel and operational needs as required.
