Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Material Handler to join our growing team in Detroit, Michigan. This position plays a vital role in the efficient movement of goods within our distribution center. You will be responsible for receiving, stocking, and moving materials, ensuring that inventory is organized and accessible. This role is fundamental to our overall logistics operations and requires a strong commitment to safety and efficiency. Responsibilities:
  • Receive incoming materials and verify against purchase orders or shipping documents.
  • Unload shipments from trucks and stage materials for processing.
  • Transport materials to and from designated storage areas using forklifts, pallet jacks, or other equipment.
  • Stock materials accurately into designated locations, ensuring proper organization.
  • Pick and stage materials for production or shipment orders.
  • Perform cycle counts and assist with physical inventory as directed.
  • Operate equipment safely and efficiently, maintaining all safety regulations.
  • Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe work environment.
  • Adhere to all company Safety guidelines and use required PPE.
  • Contribute to the overall efficiency of the logistics process.

Qualifications:
  • Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role is advantageous.
  • Experience operating forklifts and other material handling equipment is a strong plus.
  • Ability to perform manual tasks, including frequent Lifting of items up to 60 lbs.
  • Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Understanding of warehouse operations and basic inventory control.
  • Commitment to following Safety procedures and best practices.
  • Willingness to wear all required PPE, including safety glasses and gloves.
  • Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
  • Familiarity with logistics principles is beneficial.
