About
Seeking an energetic and precise Order Picker for our Omaha, Nebraska distribution center. As an Order Picker, you will be responsible for accurately retrieving items from warehouse shelves to fulfill customer orders. Your efficiency and accuracy directly impact our **logistics** chain and customer satisfaction. This role requires a sharp eye for detail, the ability to work quickly, and a strong adherence to **safety** guidelines. You'll be navigating the warehouse, locating specific products, and ensuring they are ready for the packing and shipping departments. Physical stamina and the ability to handle **Lifting** are essential components of this role. We expect all team members to wear the necessary **PPE** at all times.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse shelves based on order tickets or electronic devices.
- Verify product codes and quantities to ensure order accuracy.
- Place picked items into appropriate containers for transport to the packing station.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Operate pallet jacks and other material handling equipment safely.
- Report any stock discrepancies or damaged items immediately.
- Follow all company **safety** rules and procedures.
- Wear all required **PPE**, including **Lifting** assistance equipment when necessary.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency of the warehouse **logistics** operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous order picking or warehouse experience is beneficial.
- Ability to read and interpret order forms and product labels.
- Proficiency in scanning equipment or willingness to learn.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift repeatedly; **Lifting** up to 40 lbs.
- Commitment to **safety** and **PPE** usage.
- Understanding of warehouse **logistics** principles.
- Strong attention to detail and a sense of urgency.
