We are looking for skilled and safety-conscious individuals to manage the movement of goods throughout our expansive warehouse. Your expertise in operating various types of forklifts will be essential in ensuring efficient inventory handling, order fulfillment, and overall warehouse productivity. This role plays a vital part in our supply chain operations, demanding precision, adherence to safety standards, and a proactive approach to material handling. You will be responsible for transporting, staging, and loading/unloading products, ensuring accuracy and minimizing damage.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (e.g., counterbalance, reach truck, electric pallet jack) safely and efficiently to move materials and products.
- Load and unload trucks and containers according to established procedures.
- Transport goods to and from various warehouse locations, including storage areas, production lines, and shipping docks.
- Stack and arrange products in designated areas, ensuring stability and accessibility.
- Perform pre-operation inspections on forklifts and report any mechanical issues or needed repairs.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory movements and locations.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and government regulations, including the proper use of PPE.
- Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts as required.
- Keep the work area clean, organized, and free of obstructions.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification.
- Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or industrial setting.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and best practices.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including Lifting and moving heavy objects (up to 75 lbs).
- Strong understanding of Logistics principles and warehouse operations.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
