Job Summary:
Are you an energetic individual with a knack for managing materials? We have an exciting opportunity for a Material Handler in our Detroit, Michigan facility. In this role, you will be instrumental in the smooth operation of our warehouse by ensuring materials are moved, organized, and stored effectively. This position demands physical stamina and a keen eye for detail to maintain inventory accuracy and support production and shipping schedules. Responsibilities:
  • Receive, identify, and store incoming materials and products.
  • Transport materials to and from production, storage, and shipping areas using manual or powered equipment.
  • Verify the quantity and quality of materials received and report any discrepancies.
  • Organize and maintain warehouse inventory in designated locations.
  • Prepare materials for shipment by accurately counting, weighing, and packaging them.
  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring compliance with all safety regulations.
  • Participate in regular inventory counts and audits.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role.
  • Proficiency in operating various types of material handling equipment.
  • Ability to perform strenuous physical activities, including frequent lifting of up to 50 pounds.
  • Strong understanding of warehouse procedures and inventory management.
  • Commitment to adhering to strict safety protocols and wearing required PPE.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with logistics and supply chain operations is a plus.
