About
We are seeking a dedicated Order Picker to join our logistics team in Omaha, Nebraska! This position is vital to our warehouse operations, ensuring that customer orders are fulfilled accurately and efficiently. As an Order Picker, you will be responsible for locating, retrieving, and preparing a variety of products for shipment. Your duties will include reading pick tickets, navigating the warehouse efficiently, and verifying that the correct items and quantities are selected. Precision and speed are essential to meet our service level agreements and maintain customer satisfaction. The role requires you to be on your feet for extended periods, moving throughout the warehouse, and engaging in regular lifting of items up to 50 pounds. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick products based on order lists or scanner information.
- Locate items within the warehouse using assigned zones and locations.
- Verify picked items against order details to ensure accuracy.
- Stage orders for packing and shipping departments.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the correct use of PPE.
- Perform routine inventory checks and report any stock discrepancies.
- Operate basic material handling equipment as needed.
- Meet established productivity standards for order picking.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the logistics operations.
Qualifications:
- Previous warehouse or order picking experience is preferred.
- Ability to read and understand pick lists and product labels.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Physical ability to walk, stand, and lift repeatedly.
- Capacity to lift items weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety practices and the importance of PPE.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
