We have an immediate opening for a Material Handler in Virginia Beach, Virginia. This role is fundamental to our warehouse operations, ensuring the efficient movement and organization of materials. Your duties will include loading and unloading goods, transporting materials to designated areas, and maintaining inventory accuracy. You will operate various material handling equipment and work collaboratively with other team members to ensure a smooth workflow. The ideal candidate is physically fit, detail-oriented, and committed to maintaining a safe work environment. Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and store materials.
- Transport materials to and from production, storage, or other work areas.
- Use equipment such as pallet jacks, forklifts (if certified), and hand trucks.
- Maintain accurate inventory records.
- Operate scanning equipment to track material movement.
- Ensure materials are stored correctly and safely.
- Assist with shipping and receiving tasks as needed.
- Keep work areas clean and orderly.
- Follow all company Safety procedures.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or material handling role.
- Ability to perform heavy Lifting tasks (up to 50 lbs).
- Familiarity with warehouse equipment and inventory systems.
- Strong understanding of Safety practices and the importance of PPE.
- Ability to work efficiently and accurately.
- Good physical stamina and manual dexterity.
- Reliable and punctual.
- Knowledge of logistics operations is beneficial.
- Team player with good communication skills.
