We are seeking experienced Forklift Operators to join our expanding logistics operations in Phoenix, Arizona. As a Forklift Operator, you will be vital in ensuring the safe and efficient movement of goods throughout our warehouse. Your responsibilities will include loading, unloading, and transporting materials using various types of forklifts. This role demands precision, a strong commitment to safety, and a thorough understanding of warehouse logistics. We are dedicated to providing a secure and productive work environment for our team.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to move, stack, and retrieve inventory.
- Load and unload trucks, trailers, and containers, ensuring proper weight distribution and securing of loads.
- Conduct daily pre-shift inspections of forklifts and report any maintenance issues promptly.
- Follow all traffic and safety rules within the warehouse facility.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Assist with inventory management tasks, such as cycle counts and location verification.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, free from obstructions and hazards.
- Collaborate with warehouse supervisors and team members to meet operational targets.
- Perform other material handling and warehouse duties as required.
- Demonstrate knowledge of safe lifting techniques and proper handling of various materials.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or distribution center environment.
- Valid forklift operator certification.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations and logistics best practices.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally.
- Strong understanding of safety regulations and a commitment to workplace safety.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a demanding environment.
- Good communication skills.
