Job Summary:
Our expanding logistics company in Austin, Texas is looking for a detail-oriented Inventory Control Specialist. This role is vital to maintaining accurate inventory records and ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse. You will be responsible for managing inventory levels, conducting cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, and implementing strategies to improve inventory accuracy. The ideal candidate possesses strong analytical skills, meticulous attention to detail, and a deep understanding of warehouse management systems. This position offers a great opportunity to contribute to the efficiency and success of our logistics operations. Ensuring all safety procedures are followed and appropriate PPE is utilized is paramount. This role involves significant Lifting and requires a candidate comfortable with physical tasks.
Responsibilities:
  • Manage and maintain accurate inventory records using WMS software.
  • Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventories.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
  • Develop and implement inventory control procedures.
  • Monitor inventory levels and forecast future needs.
  • Identify slow-moving or obsolete stock and recommend actions.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure inventory accuracy.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and warehouse policies.
  • Strict adherence to PPE guidelines is required.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Proven experience in inventory control or warehouse management.
  • Proficiency in WMS software and MS Excel.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
  • Knowledge of Safety best practices in a warehouse environment.
  • Ability to perform Lifting tasks as needed.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
