We are looking for enthusiastic Picker/Packers to join our growing logistics team in Phoenix, Arizona. In this vital role, you will be instrumental in preparing customer orders for shipment, ensuring accuracy and efficiency from selection to final packaging. The Picker/Packer position is a cornerstone of our distribution center operations, directly impacting our ability to deliver quality products to our customers on time. You will be responsible for picking items accurately, packing them securely, and preparing them for transit. This position demands a high level of focus, physical stamina, and a dedication to operational excellence.
Responsibilities:
- Select items from warehouse inventory according to order specifications, utilizing RF scanners.
- Verify item numbers, quantities, and product descriptions for accuracy before and after picking.
- Pack orders carefully and efficiently, selecting appropriate packaging materials to ensure product safety during transit.
- Label packages correctly with shipping information and any required documentation.
- Operate pallet jacks and other material handling equipment safely.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace, ensuring compliance with all Safety regulations.
- Assist with inventory control, including cycle counts and stock put-away.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve daily productivity goals and support overall warehouse operations.
- Follow all guidelines regarding Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to ensure personal and team safety.
- Practice proper Lifting techniques to manage packages of various sizes and weights.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse, picking, or packing role is advantageous.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
- Capability to lift and move products weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Understanding of warehouse logistics and inventory management principles.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes and technologies.
