About
We are seeking a diligent Material Handler to join our team in Durham, North Carolina! In this role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of materials throughout our warehouse and production facility. You will operate various equipment to transport, sort, and store inventory, playing a key part in our operational flow. This position is fundamental to our Logistics network, ensuring that raw materials and finished goods are where they need to be, when they need to be there. The ideal candidate will be reliable, physically capable, and possess a strong understanding of material handling procedures. Experience with forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment is highly desirable. You will be expected to follow all Safety guidelines meticulously and utilize the necessary PPE. Accuracy in identifying and moving materials is crucial. Teamwork and clear communication are essential for success in this role. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload materials from trucks, conveyors, and production lines.
- Transport materials to and from designated areas within the facility.
- Sort, organize, and store materials according to established procedures.
- Assist in cycle counts and inventory verification.
- Maintain equipment and report any malfunctions or damage.
- Ensure the work area is clean, organized, and free of obstructions.
- Follow all Safety regulations and wear appropriate PPE.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience operating material handling equipment required.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including Lifting heavy objects.
- Knowledge of warehouse Safety procedures and Logistics best practices.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
