The Role The IT Hardware Logistics Supervisor is required to work within and lead a team of hardware engineers carrying out logistics and stores activities at our client's sites.
The work will include all types of stores and logistics activities. The position will be site-based as required and reports to the Stores Campus Supervisor. The role involves interaction with internal peers, team leaders, supervisors, and the Service Delivery Manager, as well as external client end-users, client IT staff, and third-party vendors.
What you’ll be doing as our IT Hardware Logistics Supervisor:
Operations Leadership: Lead and supervise onsite logistics and stores operations at client locations. Team Management: Manage and support a team of Logistics Engineers, allocating workload to meet SLAs. Asset Lifecycle: Oversee goods in/out, stock control, inventory tracking, and asset lifecycle management. Equipment Handling: Ensure secure handling, storage, labelling, transfer, and disposal of IT equipment (including HDD/media and e-waste). Coordination: Coordinate deliveries, collections, spares dispatch, and supplier engagement. Data Integrity: Maintain accurate records across asset management systems, scanners, and SharePoint trackers. Planning: Plan and schedule logistics activities supporting BAU operations and project-based work. Compliance: Ensure full compliance with health & safety, quality standards, and client procedures. Escalation: Escalate risks, issues, and priorities to management where required. Reporting: Produce operational reports, documentation, timesheets, and updates. Stakeholder Engagement: Act as a key point of contact for clients, internal teams, and third-party vendors.What you'll bring:
Proven experience supervising logistics, stores, or asset management operations within an IT or technology environment. Strong understanding of inventory control, asset tracking, and secure equipment handling. Experience working with asset management and ticketing systems. Confident team leadership skills, including task allocation and performance support. High attention to detail with a logical and methodical approach to work. Ability to manage multiple priorities and work to tight deadlines. Strong communication skills and confidence working with clients and stakeholders. Solid understanding of health & safety and quality compliance.What we’re looking for:
Essential
Relevant experience working in a banking IT environment. Relevant experience working in an office environment (IT Hardware deployment). Excellent MS Office Suite experience (Outlook, Excel, Word etc.). Self-starter, organized, and detail-oriented with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Expert knowledge of Asset Management Systems and Ticketing Systems. Expert understanding of complex change management and service delivery processes. Ability to mentor and train new starters on all systems, processes, and procedures. Ability to lead and supervise shift activities and special projects from design through to handover. Experienced Service Delivery professional with a background in incident management and project delivery. Strong leadership skills, including recruitment, mentoring, and performance assessment. Experience managing 3rd parties and 3rd party delivered services. Ability to act as an ambassador for Managed Services, building relationships across the business to ensure effective cooperation.Preferred but not Essential
Previous training or qualifications within the Information Technology field. Knowledge and understanding of SNOW (ServiceNow) would be an advantage.
