About
We are seeking energetic Picker/Packers to join our New York City, New York warehouse team. This dynamic role involves accurately picking products to fulfill customer orders and meticulously packing them for shipment. You will be a crucial link in our logistics chain, ensuring that orders are processed with speed and accuracy. Responsibilities:
- Accurately select items for customer orders using RF scanners or pick sheets.
- Efficiently and carefully pack orders to prevent damage during transit.
- Verify the accuracy of picked items against order details.
- Maintain an organized and clean workspace.
- Follow all safety procedures and guidelines, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Achieve established productivity and quality metrics.
- Participate in inventory cycle counts and stock rotation.
- Operate material handling equipment safely (training provided).
- Report any order discrepancies or operational issues to management.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve departmental goals.
Qualifications:
- Prior experience in picking, packing, or a similar warehouse role is beneficial.
- Physical ability to lift and move packages weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Capacity to stand, walk, and move throughout the warehouse for extended periods.
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Proficiency in basic math and reading skills.
- Dependable and punctual with a strong sense of responsibility.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and proper use of PPE.
- Understanding of logistics and fulfillment processes is advantageous.
- Ability to perform tasks in a high-volume, fast-paced setting.
- Excellent teamwork and communication abilities.
