About
We are seeking experienced Forklift Operators to join our large distribution center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. In this role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of forklifts and other material handling equipment. Your primary duties will include moving, locating, relocating, stacking, and counting merchandise, ensuring the smooth flow of goods within our logistics facility. This position is critical to our supply chain and requires individuals who are committed to safety and operational excellence.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (sit-down, stand-up, electric) to move, stack, and unstack pallets of goods.
- Load and unload trucks, ensuring proper weight distribution and securement.
- Transport materials to and from various departments, including receiving, shipping, and storage.
- Perform routine inspections of forklifts and material handling equipment, reporting any defects.
- Assist with inventory management, including put-away and cycle counts.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of required PPE.
- Work collaboratively with other team members to achieve operational goals.
Previous verifiable experience as a Forklift Operator is required. Valid forklift certification is a must. Ability to perform strenuous physical activity, including lifting up to 70 pounds, is necessary. Must demonstrate a strong commitment to safety and a thorough understanding of warehouse safety protocols. Excellent communication and teamwork skills are essential.
