About
We are seeking reliable and efficient Order Pickers for our busy distribution facility in Detroit, Michigan. This position is key to ensuring that customer orders are accurately and promptly fulfilled. You will be responsible for retrieving specific items from warehouse stock using order sheets or scanning technology. A strong understanding of warehouse operations and a commitment to Safety are essential. Join a team dedicated to excellence in logistics.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately identify and retrieve products from designated warehouse locations based on order details.
- Verify product codes and quantities against order requirements to ensure accuracy.
- Handle products carefully to prevent damage during the picking and staging process.
- Transport picked items to the designated packing or shipping stations.
- Maintain organized work areas and assist with maintaining inventory accuracy.
- Operate electric pallet jacks or other equipment safely as trained.
- Adhere to all company Safety policies and wear required PPE at all times.
- Participate in regular inventory checks and cycle counts.
- Perform tasks involving frequent Lifting of boxes and items, potentially up to 50 lbs.
- Contribute to team goals and maintain a positive work environment.
- Follow all established logistics procedures.
- Ensure the cleanliness and orderliness of picking zones.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as an Order Picker or in a similar warehouse role is highly advantageous.
- Ability to perform consistent Lifting of up to 50 lbs throughout the shift.
- Excellent attention to detail and a focus on accuracy.
- Basic understanding of warehouse logistics and inventory control.
- Demonstrated commitment to workplace Safety and adherence to protocols.
- Ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods in a dynamic environment.
- Strong work ethic, punctuality, and reliability.
- Team-oriented with good interpersonal skills.
