About
Join our growing logistics team in Austin, Texas, as a Receiving Clerk! We need detail-oriented individuals to manage the incoming flow of goods into our warehouse. Your role will involve inspecting, documenting, and organizing all received shipments accurately and efficiently. This position is crucial for maintaining inventory integrity and ensuring a smooth start to our supply chain process. A strong focus on Safety and process adherence is required.
Responsibilities:
- Unload incoming shipments from trucks, verifying contents against purchase orders and shipping manifests.
- Inspect all received goods for damage, defects, or discrepancies and report any issues immediately.
- Accurately record received inventory into the warehouse management system (WMS).
- Tag and label incoming items appropriately for proper storage.
- Organize and stage received goods for efficient put-away by other team members.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe receiving area.
- Adhere strictly to all company Safety protocols and the mandatory use of appropriate PPE.
- Operate hand trucks, pallet jacks, and other receiving equipment safely.
- Communicate effectively with carriers, vendors, and internal departments regarding receiving discrepancies.
- Perform occasional Lifting tasks as necessary.
- Assist with inventory counts and provide accurate receiving data.
- Understand and follow all logistics procedures related to inbound freight.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a receiving, warehouse, or logistics role is highly desirable.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and inspection.
- Basic computer proficiency and familiarity with WMS are a plus.
- Ability to perform tasks involving some Lifting, bending, and standing.
- Strong commitment to workplace Safety and adherence to procedures.
- Good organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be reliable and punctual.
