About
We are hiring Picker/Packers for our busy distribution center in Virginia Beach, Virginia. This role is critical for ensuring that customer orders are accurately assembled and prepared for shipment. You will be responsible for selecting items from inventory and then carefully packing them for transit. We are looking for individuals who are energetic, precise, and dedicated to maintaining high operational standards. Excellent Safety practices and teamwork are expected.
Responsibilities:
- Efficiently pick various products from designated warehouse locations using pick lists or scanning devices.
- Inspect picked items for any defects or discrepancies.
- Package items securely, selecting appropriate boxes, padding, and sealing materials.
- Affix correct shipping labels and documentation to packages.
- Maintain a tidy and safe work environment in your assigned area.
- Strictly follow all company Safety guidelines and wear required PPE.
- Operate basic warehouse equipment, such as hand trucks and pallet jacks, safely.
- Assist with cycle counts and inventory checks as directed.
- Engage in regular Lifting of products, often up to 50 lbs, throughout the shift.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve departmental goals.
- Understand and adhere to all logistics procedures.
- Perform other warehouse duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a warehouse, picking, or packing role is preferred.
- Must have the ability to consistently perform Lifting tasks of up to 50 lbs.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in order fulfillment.
- Understanding of basic warehouse operations and logistics principles.
- Demonstrated commitment to workplace Safety and following procedures.
- Ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods.
- Strong work ethic and reliability.
- Capacity to work efficiently both independently and collaboratively.
