We are hiring a skilled Forklift Operator to join our team in Seattle, Washington. In this critical role, you will be responsible for operating forklifts to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. Your duties will include loading and unloading trucks, transporting materials throughout the warehouse, and ensuring the safe and efficient storage of inventory. Accuracy and a strong commitment to safety are essential, as you will be working with heavy machinery and materials. You must be proficient in operating various types of forklifts and adhere strictly to all company safety regulations, including the mandated use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). This position requires excellent hand-eye coordination, the ability to perform frequent lifting, and the capacity to work in a fast-paced logistics environment. Your role is vital to the smooth functioning of our warehouse operations and contributes significantly to our overall logistics network. We are seeking a dedicated individual who prioritizes safety and efficiency in all aspects of their work.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to move, stack, and unstack materials.
- Load and unload products from trucks and trailers.
- Transport goods to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
- Perform daily inspections of forklifts and report any maintenance issues.
- Ensure proper placement and organization of inventory.
- Assist with inventory control and cycle counting.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and procedures.
- Use appropriate PPE, including safety shoes and vests, at all times.
- Follow all instructions from supervisors and contribute to team goals.
- Support overall logistics operations through efficient material handling.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. Proven experience as a Forklift Operator. Valid forklift certification required. Ability to operate multiple types of forklifts. Strong understanding of warehouse safety protocols. Ability to perform tasks involving frequent lifting and maneuvering of heavy objects. Excellent attention to detail and spatial awareness. Ability to work in a physically demanding and fast-paced logistics environment. Must consistently wear and use required PPE. Good communication skills.
