Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Inventory Control Specialist for our Virginia Beach, Virginia location. In this critical role, you will be responsible for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse inventory. This involves conducting regular cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, performing stock takes, and implementing procedures to minimize inventory loss. You will work closely with warehouse staff and management to ensure our inventory data is precise and reflects actual stock levels. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a solid understanding of inventory management principles are essential. This position plays a crucial part in our overall logistics and supply chain efficiency. Responsibilities:
  • Perform regular cycle counts and full physical inventories.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
  • Implement and maintain inventory control procedures.
  • Analyze inventory data and report on trends and issues.
  • Manage stock rotation and identify slow-moving or obsolete inventory.
  • Ensure accurate data entry into the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
  • Collaborate with receiving, picking, and shipping departments to resolve inventory issues.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements in inventory management.
  • Adhere to all safety regulations and use appropriate PPE.
  • Assist with the training of new staff on inventory procedures.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field is a plus.
  • Proven experience in inventory control or warehouse management.
  • Proficiency with WMS software and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds occasionally.
  • Understanding of logistics and supply chain operations.
  • Knowledge of safety procedures and PPE requirements.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
