We are seeking an experienced and motivated Warehouse Supervisor to lead our team in Virginia Beach, Virginia. This leadership role is crucial for overseeing daily operations, ensuring efficiency, productivity, and safety within our logistics facility. As a Warehouse Supervisor, you will be responsible for managing and motivating a team of warehouse associates, assigning tasks, monitoring performance, and providing guidance and training. Your duties will include optimizing workflow, managing inventory, ensuring accurate order fulfillment, and maintaining high standards of operational excellence. You will play a key role in implementing and enforcing all safety protocols, ensuring that Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is used correctly and that all staff adhere to safety regulations to prevent accidents. This position requires strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a deep understanding of warehouse management and logistics principles. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in supervision and a commitment to fostering a positive and productive work environment. While supervisory tasks are primary, the ability to assist with physical tasks, including lifting up to 30 pounds, may be occasionally required. Responsibilities:
- Supervise and direct daily warehouse activities and staff.
- Assign work, set priorities, and monitor team performance.
- Ensure efficient and accurate order picking, packing, and shipping.
- Oversee inventory management and stock control.
- Implement and enforce all safety policies and procedures.
- Ensure proper use of PPE by all warehouse personnel.
- Train and mentor new and existing employees.
- Conduct regular safety audits and address any safety concerns.
- Optimize warehouse layout and workflow for maximum efficiency.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth logistics operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Proven experience as a warehouse supervisor or in a similar leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse operations and logistics.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment and ensuring PPE compliance.
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds occasionally.
