Are you a certified and experienced Forklift Operator looking for a challenging opportunity in Nashville, Tennessee? We are hiring a skilled individual to operate forklifts and other powered industrial trucks to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. This role is essential for the efficient operation of our warehouse and plays a significant part in our logistics processes. Safety and precision are paramount in this position.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, reach trucks) to move materials within the warehouse.
- Load and unload pallets and merchandise from trucks and trailers.
- Transport inventory to and from designated storage areas, production areas, or shipping docks.
- Perform daily inspections of forklifts and report any maintenance issues immediately.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory movement and locations.
- Adhere strictly to all company safety policies and OSHA regulations.
- Practice safe lifting techniques when handling materials that are not palletized.
- Wear all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including safety shoes, vests, and glasses.
- Understand and execute tasks according to established logistics and warehouse procedures.
- Actively participate in safety training and promote a culture of safety awareness.
- Assist with other warehouse duties, such as order picking or packing, as needed.
- Keep work areas clean and organized to ensure operational efficiency and safety.
