About
We are seeking a meticulous and proactive Inventory Control Specialist to join our Dallas, Texas team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse inventory. Your duties will include conducting cycle counts, investigating and resolving inventory discrepancies, managing stock rotation, and ensuring proper storage conditions. You will work closely with various departments, including receiving, shipping, and operations, to uphold inventory accuracy and optimize stock levels. The ability to analyze data, identify trends, and implement corrective actions is essential. This position requires a strong understanding of inventory management principles and systems. We are committed to a safe working environment, so adherence to all Safety guidelines and the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is mandatory. While not primarily a physical role, some Lifting may be required. Your expertise will be vital to our logistics success.
Responsibilities:
- Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventories.
- Investigate and reconcile discrepancies between physical inventory and system records.
- Implement and maintain inventory control procedures.
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Manage stock rotation (e.g., FIFO - First-In, First-Out).
- Ensure accurate receiving and put-away of goods.
- Monitor stock levels and report potential shortages or overages.
- Collaborate with warehouse staff to ensure proper handling and storage of inventory.
- Adhere to all company Safety policies and procedures, including the use of PPE.
- Assist with special projects related to inventory management.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
- Proven experience in inventory control or warehouse management.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with inventory management software and systems (e.g., WMS, ERP).
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good organizational and time-management skills.
- Understanding of Safety practices and the importance of PPE in a warehouse setting.
- Ability to perform basic math calculations.
- Occasional Lifting may be required.
