Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and verify incoming materials and shipments.
- Transport materials to designated storage areas using forklifts, pallet jacks, or other equipment.
- Stock shelves and ensure proper inventory rotation and placement.
- Pick and stage materials for outgoing orders or production.
- Conduct routine inspections of material handling equipment and report any issues.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, free from hazards.
- Accurately record material movements and update inventory control systems.
- Adhere to all company policies and safety regulations, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Assist with inventory counts and other warehouse duties as required.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient and timely logistics processes.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role is preferred.
- Ability to operate material handling equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks) safely and efficiently; certification is a plus.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including frequent lifting of up to 50-75 lbs, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and the critical importance of PPE.
- Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced logistics environment.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- A proactive approach to safety and efficiency in all logistics tasks.
