About
We are expanding our team at our Virginia Beach, Virginia distribution center and seeking dedicated Picker/Packers. In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring customer orders are accurately and efficiently assembled and prepared for shipment. This position is a cornerstone of our Logistics operations, directly impacting customer satisfaction through timely and correct order fulfillment. You'll navigate our warehouse, identify and retrieve products, and package them with care to maintain product integrity during transit. A strong commitment to Safety and maintaining high productivity standards is expected.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately retrieve items from warehouse locations according to order tickets or RF scanner prompts.
- Verify product codes and quantities to ensure order accuracy.
- Pack items carefully into appropriate shipping containers, using cushioning materials as needed to prevent damage.
- Apply shipping labels and necessary documentation to completed orders.
- Assist with maintaining inventory accuracy through proper picking and stock handling procedures.
- Operate pallet jacks and other manual lifting equipment as required.
- Keep your workspace clean, organized, and adhere to all Safety regulations.
- Contribute to team goals by meeting individual performance metrics for picking and packing.
- Support our overall Logistics efficiency by following all established work procedures.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous warehouse or order fulfillment experience is beneficial.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift.
- Physical stamina to handle Lifting of items up to 50 lbs.
- Sharp attention to detail to minimize errors in order fulfillment.
- Understanding of warehouse Safety procedures and the correct use of PPE is mandatory.
- Good time management and ability to work in a fast-paced setting.
- Team player mentality with good communication skills.
