About
Our Omaha, Nebraska facility is seeking a detail-oriented Inventory Clerk to manage and maintain accurate inventory records. In this crucial logistics role, you will be responsible for conducting regular inventory counts, reconciling discrepancies, and ensuring the integrity of our stock data. Your meticulous approach will be vital to the efficiency of our warehouse operations. You will work closely with the warehouse team to identify and resolve inventory issues, and assist in optimizing storage locations. This position requires a high level of accuracy, organizational skills, and a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment. Proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is expected. Responsibilities:
- Perform cycle counts and full physical inventory counts accurately and efficiently.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, identifying root causes.
- Maintain up-to-date inventory records in the warehouse management system (WMS).
- Ensure all inventory movements are logged correctly.
- Conduct regular audits of stock levels and storage locations.
- Collaborate with warehouse staff to ensure accuracy in receiving, put-away, and picking processes.
- Identify and report damaged or expired inventory.
- Assist in the implementation of inventory control procedures.
- Maintain a clean and organized inventory storage area.
- Follow all safety guidelines, including the proper use of PPE.
- Support overall logistics operations with accurate inventory data.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree in a related field is a plus.
- Proven experience as an Inventory Clerk or in a similar inventory management role.
- Proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including occasional lifting up to 30 lbs.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Understanding of logistics and warehouse operations.
- Knowledge of safety procedures and the importance of PPE.
- Good communication skills.
