We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Order Picker to join our dynamic logistics team in Jacksonville, Florida. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately picking, packing, and preparing customer orders for shipment. Your attention to detail and commitment to timely order fulfillment are crucial to our operations. You will work in a fast-paced warehouse environment, utilizing scanners and other equipment to locate and retrieve items from shelves and storage areas. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, be comfortable with physical tasks including lifting up to 50 lbs, and understand the importance of safety protocols. This position offers a great opportunity to grow within the logistics industry.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick customer orders according to provided pick lists.
- Scan items to ensure correct product and quantity.
- Package items securely for shipment, ensuring they are protected during transit.
- Stage completed orders for outbound shipping.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Operate hand trucks, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment as needed.
- Participate in inventory counts and cycle counts.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve daily operational goals.
- Understand and follow all warehouse procedures for efficient logistics operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous warehouse or order picking experience is a plus.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repetitively.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work in a standing and walking position for extended periods.
- Familiarity with scanning equipment and warehouse management systems is advantageous.
- Commitment to safety and following instructions is essential.
