Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on warehouse equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, and conveyor systems.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical and electrical issues with warehouse machinery.
- Ensure all equipment is operating safely and efficiently, adhering to manufacturer specifications.
- Conduct regular inspections of the warehouse facility for safety hazards and operational issues.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inventory of spare parts.
- Operate a forklift and other warehouse equipment as needed for maintenance tasks.
- Implement and enforce all safety procedures and protocols, ensuring the correct use of PPE.
- Assist with the installation and setup of new equipment.
- Contribute to a culture of safety and continuous improvement within the logistics team.
- Respond promptly to equipment malfunctions and operational emergencies.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a maintenance technician, preferably in a warehouse or industrial setting.
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
- Familiarity with various types of warehouse equipment and machinery.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures, including the use of PPE.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record may be required.
