We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Picker/Packer to join our dynamic logistics team in Virginia Beach, Virginia. As a Picker/Packer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accurate and efficient fulfillment of customer orders. Your responsibilities will include accurately picking items from warehouse shelves based on order sheets, using scanning equipment to track inventory, and carefully packaging products for shipment. This role demands attention to detail, physical stamina, and a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment. You will be working within a fast-paced warehouse setting, contributing to the smooth operation of our distribution center. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items for customer orders using pick lists and RF scanners.
- Inspect products for damage before packing.
- Package items securely and efficiently for shipment.
- Label packages correctly for outgoing delivery.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation and warehouse area.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Participate in inventory counts as needed.
- Meet daily picking and packing quotas.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as assigned.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of warehouse operations and logistics principles.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a warehouse or picking/packing role preferred.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Basic understanding of inventory management systems.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Commitment to workplace safety.
