Job Summary:
We are looking for a dedicated Inventory Control Specialist to join our San Antonio, Texas logistics team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse inventory. Your duties will include conducting cycle counts, investigating and resolving discrepancies, managing stock rotation, and implementing inventory control best practices. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and possesses a strong understanding of warehouse operations and logistics.
Responsibilities:
  • Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits to maintain high levels of inventory accuracy.
  • Investigate and resolve any inventory discrepancies promptly and efficiently.
  • Implement and enforce inventory control policies and procedures.
  • Monitor inventory levels, identify stockouts, and report on inventory aging.
  • Maintain precise inventory records within the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
  • Collaborate with warehouse supervisors, operations, and other departments to address inventory challenges.
  • Ensure proper handling, storage, and organization of all inventory items.
  • Uphold all safety regulations, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), throughout all warehouse activities.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives for inventory management processes.
  • Assist in training warehouse associates on inventory control procedures and best practices.

Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in inventory control, stock management, or a similar warehouse role is essential.
  • Proficiency in using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and inventory software.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
  • Excellent organizational and time management capabilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a demanding logistics environment.
  • Capacity for physical tasks, including lifting up to 40 pounds occasionally.
  • Familiarity with warehouse safety protocols and the importance of PPE.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • High school diploma or GED required; additional certifications or training in logistics or inventory management are a plus.
