Job Summary:
Our expanding logistics facility in Nashville, Tennessee, is looking for a meticulous Receiving Clerk to manage incoming shipments. As a Receiving Clerk, you will be responsible for accurately receiving, inspecting, and processing all incoming goods, ensuring they are properly accounted for and staged for put-away. This role is foundational to our inventory management and supply chain operations, requiring keen attention to detail and a commitment to efficiency and safety. You will be a vital link in our logistics process.
Responsibilities:
  • Unload incoming freight from trucks and trailers, verifying shipping documents against received goods.
  • Inspect incoming inventory for damage or discrepancies, documenting any issues.
  • Accurately record received items into the warehouse management system (WMS).
  • Tag and label received products according to company procedures.
  • Stage received goods for put-away or further processing.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe receiving area.
  • Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts (if certified), pallet jacks, and hand trucks safely.
  • Adhere to all safety regulations, including the correct use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Communicate effectively with suppliers, drivers, and internal warehouse staff.
  • Assist with inventory control tasks and other logistics duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in a receiving, inventory, or warehouse role is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) is a plus.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks including standing, walking, bending, and lifting.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and verification.
  • Strong understanding of safety practices within a logistics environment.
  • Good organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Basic computer proficiency.
