About
We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Order Picker to join our dynamic logistics team in Durham, North Carolina. As an Order Picker, you will be responsible for accurately selecting and preparing customer orders for shipment within our fast-paced distribution center. Your primary focus will be on ensuring that orders are picked correctly, efficiently, and safely, contributing directly to our customer satisfaction and operational success. This role requires meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to upholding the highest standards of warehouse operations. You will work closely with other warehouse associates and supervisors to maintain a smooth workflow and meet daily picking targets.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick and pull items from warehouse shelves based on customer orders using RF scanners or pick lists.
- Verify product codes and quantities against order details to ensure accuracy.
- Package selected items securely and appropriately for shipment, maintaining the integrity of the products.
- Operate powered industrial equipment, such as pallet jacks or forklifts, as needed, after proper training and certification.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring aisles are clear and materials are properly stored.
- Adhere strictly to all company policies and procedures, with a strong emphasis on Safety protocols.
- Participate in inventory counts and cycle counts as required.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding order status and any discrepancies.
- Understand and implement proper lifting techniques to prevent injuries when handling packages.
- Wear all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times while on the warehouse floor.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous warehouse or order picking experience is a plus.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds frequently.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Basic understanding of warehouse operations and logistics.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Familiarity with RF scanning technology is desirable.
