Job Description
JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
The basic function of this position is to select product from pick slot locations for shipment to customers safely operating a battery powered pallet jack.
REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS
The Selector reports to the night warehouse Manager.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES- Receive orders and accurately select items for shipment
- Enter all assignments into WIN computer system
- Place selected items on pallet with heaviest items on bottom when possible to avoid damage
- Drop completed pallets at correct location for Loader
- Shrink wrap pallets when complete for shipment stability and damage control
- Safely operate a battery powered pallet jack
- Safely lift up to 80 pounds
- Must be able to understand and speak English for voice selection system
- Must be able to read English for product descriptions/labels
- Able to follow instructions and adhere to preferred work methods and safety rules
- Other duties as assigned by Supervisor or Manager
High School diploma or equivalent is required.
Must be able to pass pallet jack certification
