American Traveler is seeking an Occupational Therapist for an inpatient rehab position at an academic medical center, requiring at least 1 year of experience and BLS certification.

• Inpatient rehabilitation unit in an acute care setting
• Average daily census of 12-16 patients with a 1:1 staffing ratio
• Patient diagnoses include multi-trauma, CVA/stroke, neurological conditions, and post-operative orthopedic surgery
• Day shift schedule, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM
• No modality or prosthetic skills required; basic orthotic and splinting skills are a plus but not required
• Unit accepts first-time travelers with the required experience
• You may be assigned to an Emergency Team with expectations to stay during hurricane events as needed
• Five-day orientation program before starting assignment
• Two manager or supervisor references required for clearance to start
• If previously employed at this health system, must be separated for at least one year
• RTO (requested time off) must be discussed in interview to be honored

• Current BLS certification required
• Active LA state license or compact license required
• NBCOT certification required
• Minimum of 1 year of relevant inpatient rehab experience
• License required if applicable
• Must live more than 65 miles from the facility
