R eceiving Associate

Automation Personnel Services is looking for a reliable and motivated Receiving Associate for a company based in Southwest Houston, Texas. This position is responsible for operating a forklift, reach truck or order picker as well as picking, packing, sorting, shipping and receiving of material to meet the facility's productivity and quality goals.

Pay Rate

$16.00 to $20.00 an hour

Schedule and Hours

Monday through Friday, 7:00 am to 5:00 pm

Monday through Friday, 2:00 pm to 11:00 pm

Receiving Associate Duties and Responsibilities

• Receives and unloads freight both manually or with equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks

• Checks for damaged goods

• Delivers and retrieves products from storage areas

• Tags and issues product

• Stocks shelves and rotates inventory

• Assembles pallets or selects preassembled containers, inserts items into containers, using spacers, fillers, and protective padding

• May operate forklift, reach truck or stand-up order picker to move, transport, or hoist material

• Observe all safety precautions and always wear appropriate PPE

• Cross-train on alternate assignments and perform duties in other work areas as needed

• Maintain Housekeeping in assigned work area

• Any other duties as requested by respective supervisor and/or manager

Receiving Associate Qualifications and Requirements
• High School Diploma or GED

• 1+ years’ experience in shipping and receiving

• ERP System experience preferred (but not required)

• PVF industry experience preferred

• Able to lift and stack objects 15 to 20 lbs.

• Work involves long periods of standing, walking, kneeling, and reaching; may also include climbing ladders

• Knowledge of carbon flanges and fittings is a plus

• Experience with valves, fittings, and pipe systems.
