Material Handler

Job Description

The Material Handler position supports production operations by maintaining the flow of materials and products in manufacturing areas according to established guidelines.

Responsibilities:

• Issue all material from stock including transfers, kits, manual pulls, and system transactions done by computer.
• Maintains inventory control by identifying, labeling, picking, placing materials and supplies in designated bins and updating ERP records for easy traceability
• Performs root cause analysis on inventory discrepancies
• Cycle count whenever necessary.
• Manage inventory transfers between locations
• Ensure accuracy by performing all transactions correctly and verifying whenever necessary.
• Operates hand truck or pallet jack in loading/unloading or picking items as needed

​Qualifications :

• Previous experience in inventory control
• Deadline and detail-oriented
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as math
• Basic computer skills, Word, Excel, Email
• Ability to lift, carry, and move up to 50 lbs.
• Able to work while standing for long periods of time
• Flexible and adaptable; available for a changing schedule
• Ability to gather and organize information, to compose letters, memo and correspondence requiring independent judgment
• Must possess problem solving and critical thinking skills
• Independent thinker w/ability to troubleshoot day-to-day events and plan, prioritize, and organize a diversified workload
• Willing to work weekends when necessary
• Ability to read, speak, and understand English
• Ability to speak Vietnamese a plus
