On-Site - Arlington, VA Clearance:
Must be a U.S. citizen and able to obtain and maintain DHS suitability clearance, as required by federal contract.
Summary: The Network Engineer will support DHS CISA by designing, implementing, and maintaining secure network infrastructure for mission-critical systems. This role ensures network reliability, performance, and compliance with federal security standards.
Responsibilities:
Configure, monitor, and manage LAN/WAN, VPN, and firewall solutions.
Troubleshoot connectivity, routing, and performance issues.
Implement DHS and NIST security controls, including Zero Trust principles.
Develop and maintain accurate network documentation, including diagrams and configurations.
Collaborate with system administrators, cloud engineers, and security teams to optimize network operations.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
3–5 years of experience in network engineering or administration.
Hands-on experience with routers, switches, firewalls, and VPN technologies.
Industry certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or Security+ preferred.
Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
