We seek a Senior Engineer in Content Security who will be a key contributor to protecting Disney's creative assets. This role demands a proactive problem-solver with a robust background in application and cloud security. The ideal candidate will lead security reviews, influence design decisions, and collaborate effectively across various teams to enhance our content protection strategies in a fast-paced studio environment. Responsibilities: Lead comprehensive application and infrastructure security reviews for content management, editorial, and production platforms.
Conduct thorough security assessments and provide actionable recommendations for both internal tools and third-party vendor solutions.
Act as a trusted technical partner for production technologists, engineering teams, and platform owners.
Investigate security incidents and findings, ensuring thorough documentation and follow-up recommendations.
Integrate secure-by-design principles into new workflows, including remote collaboration and cloud-based editing.
Assist in the development and maintenance of baseline configurations and security hardening guidelines.
Create automation tools or scripts to streamline repetitive assessments or checks.
Communicate security risks and solutions effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Stay updated on emerging threats targeting the entertainment sector and related content workflows.
Contribute to cross-functional initiatives related to privacy, DRM, watermarking, and AI-based content usage reviews.
Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a technical field; certifications such as Security+, AWS SAA, or GCP ACE are advantageous.
Five years of experience in cybersecurity roles, emphasizing application, cloud, or infrastructure security.
Proven ability to deliver clear and actionable security assessments to both technical and non-technical teams.
Solid understanding of cloud security services across AWS, GCP, or Azure, including IAM, networking, and compute.
Experience securing CI/CD pipelines, APIs, and containerized environments.
Familiarity with security use cases in Media & Entertainment, particularly those involving editorial and collaborative content workflows.
Strong problem-solving skills and a commitment to driving security enhancements.
Ability to succeed in a dynamic and creative environment with rapidly evolving technologies.
Excellent communication and documentation skills.
The hiring range for this position in Glendale, CA is $129,300 to $173,300 per year. The actual base pay will consider internal equity, geographic region, relevant experience, and skill sets.
