$110,000 - $120,000 (Based on experience)

The Opportunity
RCG is seeking a highly skilled
Network Engineer
to support enterprise network operations in a secure, on-site environment. This role is ideal for a seasoned professional with strong experience in network engineering, systems integration, and operational support across complex environments.
Please Note
Due to the secure nature of this government agency, all candidates must be
U.S. citizens
and hold a
current, active Top-Secret clearance (SCI eligible) . This is a
fully on-site position
and is not eligible for telework. The successful candidate will receive a contingent offer based on the outcome of a government background check. This process may take several weeks, and employment cannot begin until it is successfully completed.
What You'll Do
Administer, operate, and maintain enterprise network infrastructure, including routers, switches, load balancers, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and proxies
Design, build, and implement network systems and solutions
Analyze customer requirements and develop integrated network architectures
Troubleshoot network performance issues and conduct traffic analysis and capacity planning
Monitor and respond to hardware, software, and network incidents, escalating as needed
Support LAN/WAN systems including installation, testing, and maintenance
Perform system-level design and configuration across hardware and software platforms
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including system engineers, ISSOs, and SMEs
Maintain network monitoring tools and ensure system availability and performance
Conduct system analysis, requirements development, and performance optimization
Support implementation of scalable, fault-tolerant network designs
Configure and optimize network connectivity, VPNs, NAT, and load balancing solutions
Assist with disaster recovery planning and system security accreditation efforts
Provide documentation, reporting, and operational oversight of network environments
Stay current on emerging technologies and recommend improvements
What We're Looking For
Active
DoD Top Secret Clearance
with SCI eligibility
5+ years of experience in network engineering, administration, or related field
Strong experience with enterprise networking equipment (e.g., Cisco, Dell, Palo Alto)
Experience with LAN/WAN design, integration, monitoring, and troubleshooting
Knowledge of network performance tools, traffic analysis, and security controls
Familiarity with IDS/IPS systems and secure network devices (e.g., TACLANE)
Experience supporting security accreditation and compliance requirements
Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills
Ability to manage complex network environments and collaborate across teams
Preferred Skills
Experience with high-availability and fault-tolerant network architectures
Familiarity with large-scale enterprise or federal environments
Experience with network automation or scripting tools
