*Job Overview.*
My client is looking for a talented and proactive IT Infrastructure Engineer to join their IT team and play a key role in supporting and evolving our core technology platforms.
This is a hands-on, varied role where you will work across on-premise and cloud environments, supporting critical systems, delivering infrastructure improvements, and acting as a senior escalation point within the team.

*Duties.*
* Act as a 3rd line escalation point for complex IT issues.
* Support and maintain core infrastructure (Windows Server, AD, DNS, DHCP, etc.).
* Manage and develop Microsoft 365, Azure AD (Entra), and Intune environments.
* Maintain VMware virtualisation platforms and storage (SAN).
* Support network infrastructure (LAN, WAN, VPN, firewalls, Wi-Fi).
* Ensure reliable performance of critical business systems (e.g. SAP and other enterprise platforms).
* Manage backup, disaster recovery, and monitoring systems.
* Support telephony systems (e.g. 3CX, mobile platforms).
* Contribute to infrastructure projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
* Maintain clear and accurate technical documentation.
*Essential Experience/Skills.*
* Proven experience in a 3rd line or infrastructure engineering role.
* Strong knowledge of the below.
* Windows Server & Active Directory.
* Microsoft 365 / Azure AD / Intune.
* VMware virtualisation.
* Enterprise networking (CCNA-level or equivalent).
*Desirable Experience/Skills.*
* Scripting or automation (PowerShell, Python, Bash).
* Experience with hybrid cloud environments (Azure).
* Citrix technologies (Virtual Apps/Desktop).
* Linux administration.
* Telephony systems (e.g. 3CX).
*Desirable Qualifications.*
* Cisco CCNA.
* VMware Certification.
* ITIL Foundation.

*Key Details.*
* Based at our Rotherham site.
* Occasional travel to other group sites.
* Participation in an on-call rota (out-of-hours support).
