Boeing Test and Evaluation (BT&E) is seeking Test & Evaluation Engineers to join our team in Seattle, WA.

In this role you will develop cost‑effective verification and validation test methods by collaborating with program teams to define detailed test requirements, procedures, instrumentation, and configuration definitions; apply analytical tools to verify designs; analyze, process, and format test data to meet customer needs; mentor and train team members; and proactively minimize test risk while working under general direction.

Our teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including Associate, Experienced and Senior Level Test & Evaluation Engineers.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Lead execution of Test Program Management best practices

  • Partners with airplane design engineering counterparts to co-lead the development of test requirements

  • Works cross-functionally to support BT&E Lab/Flight Test NW program/project plan and integrate with key stakeholders.

  • Leads Cost-Effective Verification and Validation methods

  • Applies lessons learned to the improvement of test procedures

  • Guides teams that design test hardware, software and systems to achieve test program objectives

  • Provides oversight on Test Program deliverables to customer

  • Develop baselines and manage change to Statement Of Work, Requirements, Cost, Schedule, Risk/Issues/Opportunities, and Supply Chain

  • Lead development and approval of Estimates/Proposals

  • Manage communications of plan and performance to plan across stakeholder teams and up-and-out with stakeholder leadership

  • Facilitate battle-rhythm with execution teams to drive performance to plan

  • Support and contribute to leadership strategy and business operations for Lab/Flight Test NW

  • Is proactive, works under minimal direction and trains others

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement

  • Willing to travel domestically as needed

  • 5+ years of experience working in an engineering environment

  • Project management (technical, schedule, and financial)

  • Airplane or airplane parts/system level product integration

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Level 3: 3 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Level 4: 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Business acumen and understanding

  • Earned Value Management (EVM)

  • Experience working through the life cycle of a product from concept to delivery

  • Working level knowledge of airplane, airplane parts/systems; one or more of the following - aerodynamics, structures, navigation, flight controls, engines, electrical power, cabin systems and interiors, hydraulics, fuels etc.

Please note that the salary information shown below is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary Pay Range for Associate level (Level 2): $90,950 – $123,050

Summary Pay Range for Mid-level (Level 3): $111,350 – $150,650

Summary Pay Range for Senior level (Level 4): $135,150– $182,850
