*Position Title*: Certified Athletic Trainer
*Department*: Athletics Department
*Reports To*: Head Athletic Trainer
*Employment Type*: Full-time, 10 months
*Position Summary*:
This full-time position is responsible for providing injury assessment, treatment, and rehabilitation for student-athletes, developing prevention programs, and collaborating with coaches on training plans.
*Key Responsibilities*:
* Assess, treat, and rehabilitate athletic injuries for student-athletes.
* Develop and implement injury prevention programs and educate student athletes.
* Collaborate with coaching staff to create individualized training plans.
* Attend practices, games, and athletic events to provide immediate medical care as needed.
* Maintain accurate medical records for all student-athletes.
* Coordinate with team physicians and other healthcare professionals.
* Assist with the maintenance of athletic training facilities and equipment.
* Possible sport coverage includes Football, M/W Soccer, M/W Volleyball, M/W Basketball, Softball, Baseball, or Women’s Lacrosse and will be determined by experience, best fit, and hopefully preference for each sport/team.
* Experience as a clinical preceptor to students within our CAATE accredited Master’s in Athletic Training program is also available.
*Qualifications*:
* A bachelor’s degree in athletic training is required, master’s degree preferred.
* BOC certified.
* Athletic Training licensed through the Missouri State Board of Healing Arts, or eligible.
* First Aid/CPR certification for Professional Rescuer.
* Experience with EMRs.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Ability to work with a wide variety of students, parents, coaches, and administrators.
* Ability to effectively treat and rehabilitate sports related injuries.
* Must be able to lift and carry 50 pounds.
